8 Perspectives "Communication in Stitch" The Lakehouse Takapuna.

Three wall pieces for our exhibition at The Lakehouse opening on the fifth of August.

and three sculptural pieces.  I try to upcycled when I can so you will find repurposed polystyrene, cans and even teabags.  The theme is 'communication' so I chose to centre my pieces on the tin can telephone we used to make as children...I think it was doubtful that they worked so that led to my miscommunication wall series using discarded fabric scraps and acrylic felt.  I love burning acrylic and synthetic fabrics to achieve a rustic, preloved appearance.

Shore Thing presents 'Tossing Ideas Around'.

Very excited about being able to showcase everything that's been done over the last three years and to do it with such great company.  These weekends are always a blast, talking about each others work to the visiting public, selling stuff is always great and inspiring us for further work.  Fingers crossed for great weather and loads of people.
