Close up of 'Chaos'

The image is a close up of one of my 3D pieces submitted to the Estuary Arts Centre called 'Chaos'. What is interesting to me is the fact that it 145Kb. After doing some research into digital imagery and studying my camera manual (if else fails) I've learnt that my email setting (VGA) is unsufficient for printing out high quality images. This may sound incredibly basic to more digital savvy people but the extent was what surprised me. To print out a high quality resolution A5 size image you should have an image of 5M! Significantly more than a twee 145Kb wouldn't you say?
I'm looking forward to taking images at the exhibition with a 5M setting and VGA setting to upload here print out some decent images to start a high quality Portfolio.

Nepalese Felt Bead Jewellery

Thrilled with my necklance and earrings constructed with the help of Julie Jackson, a well known New Zealand embroiderer and bead artist. Sheryl Sefton sourced the beads for me in a variety of sizes after seeing some very expensive jewellery in some of the local shops made from them. I made them specifically for the opening of our 8 Perspectives textile exhibition at the Estuary Arts Centre in Orewa this Thursday.
